I was the ‘artist in residence’ at Takapuna library. Here is a picture of me not sitting there. hehe. I was there though, I drew for two hours while people stopped by to look and chat. This is the lead up to Chromacon on June 1-2.
I really enjoyed seeing the kids like the art and say they liked to draw. I remember being a kid inspired by a good drawing.
Some playful horses in colour. I’m thinking of making a set of these into a calendar. They would also make a nice set of cards.
This drawing combines three styles – realism (ear, eyes, muzzle), pointillism (nose) and zentangle.
Notice the dragon on the right ear?
Here a couple of graphite pencil drawings.
These pictures are created by using collections of patterns to make up the whole. Some pencil shading is used to create a more 3D effect.
This was drawn from a photo I took at a pony club meeting. At the time of the photo, the woman who owned the horse said she was interested in buying the drawing. When I rang to tell her the work was finished, her partner answered the phone. He was looking for a birthday surprise for her. He bought the drawing and surprised her for her birthday.
Enjoy this collection of art, lovingly placed here for you to let your eyes and mind explore the patterns. I am self-taught. This is my hobby.
Art is fun.
